Het Radio Caroline South Fotoboek is zonder twijfel een prachtig souvenirverslag van de 50ste jubileumeditie van het verhaal van Radio Caroline, uitgezonden vanaf de MV Mi Amigo voor de kust van Frinton-on-Sea in Essex. Dit boek bevat het verhaal van Radio Atlanta en volgt het station tijdens haar bloeiperiode in de jaren zestig. In dit fotoboek van 84 pagina’s op A4-formaat, liggend, vertelt het verhaal van het station met behulp van een fantastische selectie zwart-wit- en kleurenfoto’s gedrukt op glanzend papier van hoge kwaliteit. Velen zijn nog nooit eerder gezien – samen met originele memorabilia van Radio Caroline.
Dit fotoboek volgt het volledige verhaal van het radiostation vanaf de eerste herinrichting van het voormalige Radio Nord-radioschip in Greenore in Ierland. Het boek is rijkelijk geïllustreerd met ruim 170 foto’s en memorabilia. Velen zijn opnieuw gescand van de originele negatieven en transparanten met behulp van een scanner met hoge resolutie en digitaal gerestaureerd om elk detail naar voren te brengen.
Je ziet de gebeurtenissen in januari 1966, toen de MV Mi Amigo aan de grond liep op het strand van Frinton. Inclusief foto’s van het vervangende schip van de MV Cheetah II – Radio Caroline terwijl de MV Mi Amigo werd gerenoveerd. Dit fotoboek is een must voor elke Radio Caroline/Mi Amigo-fan en beschrijft het verhaal tot maart 1968, toen het radioschip naar Nederland werd weggesleept. De meest uitgebreide lijst van on-air-persoonlijkheden, DJ’s en nieuwslezers ooit samengesteld, is inbegrepen.
Er zijn veel gedetailleerde foto’s van het schip opgenomen, samen met foto’s van de studio’s, dj’s en persoonlijkheden achter de schermen.
Ray Anderson heeft dit fotoboek nauwgezet onderzocht en geproduceerd. Het is het tweede in een nieuwe serie ter ere van ‘The Golden Age of Radio’ om het 50-jarig jubileum van deze geweldige stations te vieren.

The Radio Caroline South Photo Book is without doubt, a superberb 5oth Anniversary Edition souvenir account of the story of Radio Caroline, broadcasting from the MV Mi Amigo off the coast of Frinton-on-Sea in Essex. This book includes the story of Radio Atlanta, and follows the station through her halcyon days during the 1960s. In this A4 Landscape size, 84 page photo book it tells the story of the station using a fabulous selection of black & white and colour photographs printed on high quality gloss paper. Many have never been seen before – together with items of original Radio Caroline memorabilia.
This photo book follows the complete story of the radio station from the initial re-fitting out of the ex-Radio Nord radio ship in Greenore in Ireland. The book is lavishly illustrated with over 170 photographs and memorabilia. Many have been rescanned from the original negatives and transparencies using a high resolution scanner and digitally restored to bring out every detail.
You’ll see the events in January 1966, when the MV Mi Amigo went aground on Frinton beach. Including photographs of the MV Cheetah II – Radio Caroline’s replacement ship while the MV Mi Amigo was being refurbished. This photo book is a must for any Radio Caroline/Mi Amigo fan and covers the story up until March 1968, when the radio ship was towed away to Holland. The most comprehensive list of on-air personalities, DJs and newsreaders ever put together, is included.
Many detailed photographs of the ship are included together with photographs of the studios and DJs and personalities behind the scenes.
