Deze boxset bevat het complete werk van Focus tussen 1970 en 1976, de jaren waarin de band vier zeer getalenteerde muzikanten uit Nederland in de jaren 70 in de gelederen had: gitarist Jan Akkerman, toetsenist Thijs van Leer, bassist Bert Ruiter en drummer Pierre van der Linden.
‘Focus – 50 Years: Anthology 1970-1976’ is samengesteld door Focus/Jan Akkerman-archivaris Wouter Bessels en bevat nieuwe remasters van hun eerste zeven albums, aangevuld met single versies, b-kanten, alternatieve mixen, demo’s, ruwe studiomixen en veel niet eerder uitgebrachte live-opnames. Bovendien bevat de boxset 2 dvd’s met daarop meer dan vier uur audiovisueel materiaal uit de archieven van wereldwijde tv-omroepen, plus de eerste officiële en langverwachte release van ‘Focus At The Rainbow’ concertfilm uit 1973, zorgvuldig geremasterd vanaf de originele 16 mm film.
